Beaches In Harbor Springs Zorn Park has a life guard and bath house, Zoll Street Beach is pet friendly. In Petoskey Bayfront Park offers grass and the State Park has sand dunes. Head up M-119, better known as the Tunnel of Trees, to Church Beach near Good Hart for secluded and quiet. North of Cross Village is Sturgeon Bay, the best beach to search for Petoskey stones!
Trails abound in our neck of the woods. Top of Michigan Trails Council has maps for the Little Traverse Wheelway and the North State Trail. Thornswift Nature Preserve, just a half mile up the road from the Inn, provides 3 trails significant for bird and wildlife observation. Moosejaw Snowmobile Club grooms many trails in the area. Downhill and cross country ski trails are within a 10 minute drive at Nub's Nob and Boyne Highlands.
